The upcoming Korean TV Series, The Devil’s Plan Series 1, is a highly awaited reality survival show. The show is similar to Squid Game, which was released on 17th September 2021 on Netflix and was directed and written by Hwang Dong-hyuk.

The show cast twelve contestants from different fields of Korea, from the acting industry to the corporate world to professional gamers. All will be seen participating in many difficult challenges in 7 days. The successful and talented participants will compete against each other to become the ultimate winner in the end and also to earn a cash reward of 500 million won.

On 26th July 2023, The Devil’s Plan’s creators released the official list of all the twelve contestants from different walks of life who will be competing against each other in this reality survival TV series.

The first contestant who will be joining the show is Korean actor Ha Seok-jin, who was seen in Radiant Office, Drinking Solo, Shark, and 4 Legendary Witches. Lee Si-won, who was seen in The Tunnel, All About My Mom, I Have a Lover, Beautiful You, Memories of Alhambra, I Wanna Hear Your Song, and many more, will also be participating in the show. South Korean actor and entertainer Park Kyung-lim, who was seen playing the role of Duk-hee’s mom in Sweet Revenge in 2017, will also be seen in the reality survival game.

Professional Go player Cho Yeon-woo and Freelance announcer Lee Hye-sung, respectively, will also be competing to win the massive cash prize. K-pop band Seventeen’s singer Boo Seung-Kwan who also goes by the name of Seungkwan is also one of the twelve participants. South Korean-American lawyer Seo Dong Joo will also be participating in The Devil’s Plan Series 1. Canadian professional gamer and poker player Guillaume Party will also be seen competing along with another college-going professional poker player, Kim Dong-jae.

Viewers will also get to watch Kwedo, who is Blue House’s former policy advisor, Kwak Joon-bin, YouTube traveler, and American orthopedic surgeon Seo Yoo-min competing to become the ultimate winner. Series director Jung Jong-yeon has said a few lines about each contestant. He has complimented Ha Seok-jin’s observing skills and Cho Yeon-woo’s sharp analytical mind.

Jung Jong-yeon praised Lee Hye-sung’s hard work and Seungkwan’s experience while releasing the contestants’ names. He praised Seo Yoo-min for her passion and Seo Dong-joo for his academic background and extraordinary resume. He introduces Park Kyung Lim by mentioning his excellent gaming skills and Kim Dong-jae by telling the audience about the perfect score he received on the public test screening.
