Power Season 6 'Murderers' Premiere is Officially STARZ

Power Season 6, episode 1 'Murderers' Premiere is Officially STARZ

From Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Show Creator Courtney Kemp (The Good Wife) comes Season 6 of the hit drama “Power.”

Is there a Power Season 6 trailer? The trailer for Power Season 6 is finally hereâ€"and it does not disappoint. The sneak peek lets us know that Ghost is clearly still grappling with whether he wants to be the good guyâ€"or the bad guy. From the small tidbits we get, it's clear he's certainly still out for revengeâ€"and neither his best friend Tommy or his son have forgiven him for his past transgressions. In fact, they may even be out to get back at Ghost together.

Meanwhile, Keesha (played by LaLa Anthony) is back in a big way, and not only is she also #TeamTommy, but she’s more ride or die than ever. As for Angie? Well, the only hint that we have that she's alive is one ominous scene where Ghost says "I didn't kill Angie. I didn't kill her." And then we see Angie herself respond: "You will." Is that really Angie? Or just a dream? Time will tell when Power returns for Season 6.

Power season 6 Netflix release date: Will there be another series of Power?
POWER season 6 now has a release date on Starz and Netflix. Here’s what you need to know about series 6 of Power including release date, cast, trailer, plot and more.

Starz and Netflx have now announced the Power season six release date, which is later this August. Omari Hardwick will be back for another series of Power as Ghost alongside Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan. Power season six is rumoured to see Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) return after the shooting at the end of the last series of the Netflix and Starz show.

Will there be another series of Power?Power is coming back for season six. The next series was confirmed by Starz, and is will start on August 25, 2019.

However, we only know a few details due to cast and crew being tight-lipped following scenes from the season five finale reportedly being leaked.

All previous seasons have begun in June or July, so fans were expecting a summer release date before production was shut down.

Episodes of season five of Power were made available on Netflix on Mondays following their debut on Starz on Sundays in America and this is expected to continue with season six.

What will happen in Power season 6?The first thing season six will have to deal with is the aftermath of the events of the season five finale.

When This is Over, which aired last Sunday on Starz, ended with Angela Valdes (played by Lela Loren) being shot by Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora).

We do not yet know if Angela will survive her injuries from the finale. However, we will definitely be seeing the character again.

In a TV Line interview, showrunner Courtney Kemp said: “I can say Lela is in season six, but I can’t say what she’s doing.”

Another element the new season will have to deal with is the breakdown of trust between Tommy and Ghost (Omari Hardwick).

The bullet that hit Angela had been meant for Ghost, as a result of Tommy finding out about how he had been manipulated into killing his own father.

However, do not expect a sudden change in Ghost as a result of this. Speaking about whether Ghost feels culpable for Angela’s injuries because he lied to Tommy, Kemp said: “He wouldn’t be Ghost if he could take full responsibility for making those choices.”

Kemp also gave a huge hint as to what will happen in season six in the interview with TV Line.

When asked about the cliffhangers at the end of season 5, she said: “The biggest one is the one right in front of you, which is: Angela saw Tommy shoot her. So, I don’t know. What happens to you when you shoot somebody in law enforcement, usually?”

Who will star in Power season 6?So far, Lela Loren is our only confirmed cast member.

However, Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora and Naturi Naughton (who plays Tasha) are pretty much guaranteed to return alongside all of the main characters who haven’t been killed in what was a bloody season five.

We will also see a return of sorts for cast member Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Though his character Kanan died earlier in season five, 50 Cent has been signed on as the director for the first episode of Power season six.

Power season 6 starts Sunday, August 25 on Starz and Monday, August 26 on Netflix
