New images from What If...? episode 4 tease the series' much-hyped Doctor Strange installment. As of Wednesday morning, Marvel's newest Disney+ series is off and running. Following live-action adventures like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, What If...? is the MCU's first animated series.
It's also the first project to properly explore the multiverse, which was officially unleashed in the Loki season 1 finale. With the existence of multiple realities now confirmed, What If...? will dive into what the MCU could look like if certain events from the movies went a different way.
The first episode of What If...? told the triumphant tale of Captain Carter, or a Peggy Carter who took the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers. However, not every What If...? episode will be so light-hearted. One of the darkest installments for the series is poised to be episode 4, which is centered on Doctor Strange.
